How Does She Do It?

Humaira Ali joined the Board of Hillingdon Homes Ltd in June 2006. Humaira has lived in Hillingdon for 9 years and is actively involved as a volunteer with Hermitage Primary School. She also does voluntary work with the Heart Foundation and is a member of Homestart in Hillingdon, as well as being a Street Champion for her neighbourhood. Humaira is currently working with the London Borough of Hillingdon.

On top of her voluntary work, Humaira is studying part time for a second degree in English and Media (her first degree being a BSc in Microbiology and Chemistry).

She also assists international students to find housing and to adjust to living in a new environment. Humaira decided to join the Board as she had seen people with housing problems in the community and this sparked an interest in housing.
