"I believe that getting both health and housing right will make a significant improvement to our society" says John Morley, Chair of the Board for Hillingdon Homes.

Bringing a wealth of business experience to Hillingdon Homes, John is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Management Accountant who spent the first ten years of his career in manufacturing industry before working in senior finance roles for Whitbread and Glaxo in town and in Greenford. 

In 1996 John moved to the public sector as Director of Finance for SOAS (School of Oriental & African Studies), and later managed the administration departments at the Royal College of Music in South Kensington.   He recently spent four years working part-time at the Royal Star & Garter care home in Richmond.

Having lived in West London for nearly 30 years, he has many links with Hillingdon. With a strong background in volunteering and church involvement, he is a non-executive director of Harrow Primary Care Trust in the NHS.

John is a keen DIYer, and recently replumbed his cloakroom, replacing the toilet and washbasin. So he understands what is involved in refurbishing and maintaining properties. He also carries out all the maintenance on his old sports car that he has owned for over 30 years and uses regularly.
