Independent Board Member

Ian became an independent member of the board of Hillingdon Homes in February 2008. A qualified accountant and corporate treasurer, Ian spent the early years of his career raising funding and managing financial risk in major corporations in the chemicals, FMCG and ICT sectors. For the last 10 years, Ian has worked in the communications sector in financial, operational and business planning roles. These have mainly involved network construction and repair, and capital and asset management, experience which provides many parallels to the work of Hillingdon Homes.

A resident of Hillingdon for 7 years in the 1990s, Ian retains close links with the borough and since 2007 he has been a Non Executive Director of Hillingdon NHS Primary Care Trust (PCT). His role with the PCT provides an important link between the borough's housing and healthcare strategic leadership teams. Ian is also a school governor, and trustee of a charity supporting children's pre school education. Though he has lived in and around the Hillingdon area for over 20 years, Ian's background and upbringing is given away by his long term support of Kidderminster Harriers FC. He is married with three young children.
