The whirling derwish!

A committed Tenant & Resident Association member, Ghazi Derwish believes strongly in tenant and resident involvement as a driver for change. He is an energetic member of his local tenant and resident association, and is currently the groups elected secretary.

Since moving to one of Hillingdon Homes sheltered scheme complexes, Ghazi has embraced retirement, throwing himself into many local initiatives, participating and attending many community projects to improve the quality of life in Hillingdon

Believing passionately that the best that any community can do for itself is to secure a comfortable, safe and happy environment to live in. Ghazi joined the Board to further achieve this aim and actively participate in a more strategic way. Having lived in Hillingdon since 2002, Ghazi draws on a range of skills gained from 50 years in academia and industry, mostly abroad, and as chartered chemist and fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
